Interval Training is a Great Place to Start Interval training has become, and remains, a favorite workout regimen for many people for many reasons. The benefits of briefly pushing your body, then letting it recover, then pushing it again are well known. Research has shown that interval training helps improve cardiovascular and respiratory health, reduce fat and control glucose. Studies have even shown that this type of training could have additional benefits for older adults, namely reversing signs of aging within cells. The brevity of interval training is also an appealing aspect. Instead of investing hours and hours into long workouts, results can be seen through much shorter workout increments, making interval training appealing for today’s busy lifestyles. And, even within interval training programs, there’s no rigid requirements. Programs can be as flexible as needed to meet the needs of groups and individuals. So how can you make interval training even more attractive, engaging and inspiring? Match Your Equipment to Member Values SportsArt…
The word sustainability gets thrown around quite a bit and it can mean different things to different people especially when it relates to fitness. Webster defines sustainability as: Sustainable Fitness So how does that apply to the fitness industry? Gym goers, owners, and operators alike are developing a deeper appreciation for the importance of mindfulness, wellness, and sustainability as it relates to fitness. With the number 1 wellness trend for 2018 being planetary healing, the time to combine people, planet, and profits in your gym could not be better. With cycling, HIIT, group training and more options growing everyday consumers are navigating where to establish their membership. Gyms that embrace sustainable fitness provide consumers the opportunity to flex their purchasing power to choose environmentally-friendly gyms and seek out facilities that mirror their wellness lifestyles and mindsets. Sustainable fitness begins and ends with ECO-POWR™; a revolutionary green technology for the fitness industry. Equipment like our VERDE treadmill and G510 Indoor Cycle function like normal pieces of equipment, but, in reality, they are each their own human power plants. Throughout a normal workout, the energy you produce is captured and converted into utility grade electricity. Approximately 74% of the electricity generated during a workout instantly goes to power your facility, reducing the number of watts needed from your utility company. This not only lowers your facilities carbon footprint but it also saves you a bit of money. The savings and opportunities that come from implementing sustainability into your gym span across 4…

Back in September, SportsArt and Radisson Blu worked together to create the ‘Watts For Water’ campaign in celebration of Radisson’s Responsible Business Action Month. The contest spanned six hotels in Oslo, Norway and produced some wonderful results not only for us but for charity as well. Joakim Olandersson, the Regional Responsible Business Coordinator, shared his thoughts on the campaign in a message to his colleagues when all was said and done:
Innovation is a buzzword that gets thrown around a lot. It sounds great when you are trying to impress your boss during your 10 o’clock meeting, but it’s rare that the term is actually embraced and recognized for what it truly means. At SportsArt, innovation is at the core of everything we do.
Today we chat with Giovanni Berselli, our EMEA Hotel Channel Sales Director, once again. This time we are discussing SportsArt’s recent installation and support of the Sustainable City in Dubai. To learn more about the Sustainable City, read our press release.

Not every fitness facility can start off as a sustainable gym. Whether it comes down to pricing or timing or availability of materials/technology, sometimes going green just isn’t in the cards. But over time many opportunities to gradually transform into a sustainable gym can arise as repairs, renovations, and upgrades are needed. Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t know where to start and the idea of making such a huge switch in addition to running their facility can be overwhelming. That is why SportsArt has created the Ultimate Sustainable Gym Checklist: to provide gym owners with a guide on how to begin the journey towards this transformation for both current and upcoming facilities.
You get done with your workout, sweat dripping off everything, and you’re feeling great. But maybe you’ve looked at all that liquid energy and thought, “If only I could do something with all this!”. Well, as it turns out, you can. By working out at a gym that focuses on green fitness, your workout could actually lower your carbon footprint and help power the planet. No joke! Green fitness is catching on, and you can be an integral part of the movement just by doing the same workout you already do at an eco-focused gym.
September 27th, 2017 is National Fitness Day in the United Kingdom – an event that encourages the nation to celebrate the fun of fitness and physical activity and raises awareness of its importance to our health and our overall lives. Participants are welcome to visit the SportsArt UK Offices to hop onto our ECO-POWR™ cardio equipment and start working up a sweat. These watts can also be tracked by looking at the individual equipment’s display and using the SA WELL+™ system. Every watt generated will go towards a donation to the Rainbows Children’s Hospice to help support life-limited children and their families. The target goal is 1000 watts!
