World Gym Mexico makes a power move with ECO-POWR™

When power limitations initially inhibited a multi-machine acquisition, World Gym Mexico flipped the script and added fitness equipment that creates electricity – SportsArt’s patented ECO-POWR™ Series – at its Playa Del Carmen location. World Gym Mexico recently acquired nine pieces of SportsArt’s ECO-POWR™ premium cardio equipment for its Playa Del Carmen location. The installation includes five G660 Treadmills, two steppers and two cycles from the ECO-POWR™ Elite line. A key component to the acquisition is the ECO-POWR™ patented technology that captures human energy created by using the machines and returns it to the grid. SportsArt is committed to leading the fitness industry in eco-friendly action through research, design and education on sustainable business solutions and practices. SportsArt’s patented ECO-POWR™ technology is revolutionizing cardio workouts. The built-in technology drives a connection between individual actions and the impact those actions have on the environment by turning workouts into clean, renewable energy. Currently, in this area of Mexico, gyms are limited to the number of exercise machines they can support, due to municipal limitations on power usage. The SportsArt team was excited to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones, last week in San Diego. IHRSA 2023 was an incredible event as always, bringing together the latest ideas and innovations from across the industry.
