WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?
Students that are registered at an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada are welcome to enter the Grant Contest. Please refer to the Official Rules for full eligibility information.
CAN I ENTER MULTIPLE TIMES?
Limit one (1) entry per organization throughout the Grant Contest period. Don’t forget to spread the word about the Campus Challenge Sweepstakes, where students & Campus Rec Admin can enter to win prize packages of ECO-POWR™ sustainable fitness equipment for your campus rec center.
DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO ENTER?
There is no purchase or payment necessary to enter or win. A purchase or payment will not increase chances of winning.
WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS?
Each Essay must meet the “Essay Requirements” outlined in the Official Rules.
WHEN DOES THE CAMPUS CHALLENGE START AND END?
The SportsArt Campus Challenge begins on October 1, 2025 at 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) and ends on February 15, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT.
HOW WILL WINNERS BE SELECTED?
All eligible essays received will be judged by a panel of qualified judges to select the winners based on the following equally weighted judging criteria: likeliness to inspire others, chance of success, and effective use of funds. In the event of a tie, an additional “tie-breaking” judge selected will determine the winner. The exact Prize each winner will receive will be announced at the 2026 NIRSA Conference. Presence is not required to win.
DO I NEED ADMINISTRATION APPROVAL TO APPLY?
No, you don’t need approval to apply. But, we encourage you to communicate and share the initiative with appropriate parties!
PRODUCT INNOVATION
Among our innovations are the ECO-DRIVE™ motor, engineered to use 32% less power than standard treadmill motors, the energy-independent and cordless ECO-NATURAL™ series, and the energy-generating ECO-POWR™ series.
RECYCLING
Sustainability is integrated into our daily operations through recycling systems, reusing boxes for packaging, and using 60-70%
post-consumer paper in cardboard equipment packaging.
WATER CONSERVATION
Under factory buildings, tubes store up to 7,500 metric tons of rainwater which is used for watering the grounds. About 100 metric tons of wastewater from the production line is treated and processed, then used to keep roadsides clean and green.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Our Taiwan factory is ISO-14001 certified. We have an air conditioning system that turns on only when the temperature exceeds 28 degrees Celsius, tinted windows that let sunlight in but keep heat out, reducing the need for electric lights, and an innovative, sandwich-like exterior that naturally cools the building.
