Introducing Andy Grant: SportsArt UK’s Newest Ambassador

By | Company, Uncategorized

WHO IS ANDY GRANT: Andy Grant has been through a lot in a relatively short period of time. More than most will ever experience or will ever imagine. At 12 years old, Andy lost his mum to leukemia, leaving him to help his dad bring up his two younger sisters. At 17, Andy decided after a year of A levels, that he needed a different challenge and was drawn into the Royal Marines by a single TV advert. After completing the Royal Marine Commando training, he earned his coveted green beret and served in operation in Iraq and Afghanistan for nearly seven years, before being medically discharged after some very serious injuries in Afghanistan. Andy was blown up, five months into his tour to Afghanistan, which resulted in him spending two weeks in an induced coma and eighteen months in and out of the hospital before Andy eventually decided to have his leg amputated for a better quality of life and for control of his future. Since then, Andy has practiced what he preaches and lives each day like it is his last and certainly has got back the quality of life that he desired. Andy has climbed some of the highest mountains in the world, learned to ski and surf, and recently became the fastest single leg amputee in the world over 10km; clocking a time of 37:17. He now plans to bring that 10km time down even further and plans to become the fastest single leg amputee over…

The Rise Of Sustainable Fitness

By | Uncategorized

The word sustainability gets thrown around quite a bit and it can mean different things to different people especially when it relates to fitness. Webster defines sustainability as:   Sustainable Fitness So how does that apply to the fitness industry? Gym goers, owners, and operators alike are developing a deeper appreciation for the importance of mindfulness, wellness, and sustainability as it relates to fitness. With the number 1 wellness trend for 2018 being planetary healing, the time to combine people, planet, and profits in your gym could not be better. With cycling, HIIT, group training and more options growing everyday consumers are navigating where to establish their membership. Gyms that embrace sustainable fitness provide consumers the opportunity to flex their purchasing power to choose environmentally-friendly gyms and seek out facilities that mirror their wellness lifestyles and mindsets. Sustainable fitness begins and ends with ECO-POWR™; a revolutionary green technology for the fitness industry. Equipment like our VERDE treadmill and G510 Indoor Cycle function like normal pieces of equipment, but, in reality, they are each their own human power plants. Throughout a normal workout, the energy you produce is captured and converted into utility grade electricity. Approximately 74% of the electricity generated during a workout instantly goes to power your facility, reducing the number of watts needed from your utility company. This not only lowers your facilities carbon footprint but it also saves you a bit of money. The savings and opportunities that come from implementing sustainability into your gym span across 4…

5 Ways Fitness Equipment Leasing Help You Open A Gym

By | Guides & Best Practices

The gatekeeper to opening the studio of your dreams far too often lives at the bank. Upfront costs with securing a studio space are always difficult but having the available cash flow to be able to outfit a space can be an even more difficult task. Luckily, there are options! Fitness equipment leasing can be a way to not only get the studio you want quickly but to get it without breaking the bank. Here are 5 ways leasing can create the opportunity to open a successful studio of your dreams: Leasing fitness equipment can save you time and hassle involved with banks on the direct lending side.  Typically fewer documents are required. You can keep pace with emerging technologies (leases are typically between 36 and 60 months and you can swap out for new equipment) Short-term leases give you the opportunity to evaluate if the equipment fits your current needs. Lease terms can fit within the standard warranty period of SportsArt’s industry leading 5-year parts and 3-year labor warranty. If you use the leased assets in your business, you may enjoy a potential tax advantage because your lease or rental payments are fully deductible (check with your business tax planner). SportsArt can help you by providing you with fitness equipment leasing options that are flexible and help your business flourish. It’s always more important to focus on the quality of your gym’s fitness equipment vs. the cost of that equipment. Leasing fitness equipment gives you the flexibility of paying…
